The Green Hush: A Foundational Model of Brownwashing and the Impact of Greenwashing. 

In this qualitative study on the North American wine industry, we examine why and how firms engage in brownwashing (i.e., downplaying corporate environmental achievements). Based on our findings that firms brownwash due to rampant greenwashing, we develop a model that integrates our findings with previously established mechanisms for brownwashing. 

Understanding the Effects of Corporate Environmental Communication on Jobseerks

In this experimental study on real jobseekers, my co-authors and I compared the effects of a misleading corporate environmental claim (greenwashing) on job seekers' organizational evaluations and environmental engagement to the effects of a substantiated corporate environmental claim and no environmental claim (control). We also examined the moderating effects of job seekers' need for cognition.
